The X551 Expert for Metal has an impressive material removal rate on metal surfaces. The zirconium alumina / semi-brittle alumina abrasive grain mix provides great grinding speed and life on metal applications. Furthermore, the very robust X-linen with sturdy backing material offers durability and constant performance on tough surfaces. The grit is bonded using a fully synthetic resin on X-linen for optimal sanding performance. It is intended for grinding, welding preparation and matting on carbon steel, mild steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals and cast iron. It is also ideal for removing discoloration and material and surface imperfections.
